Letter: Stranded boaters in wrong

I am sickened by the article “Stranded.” Why would you publish the a story that makes the police look bad? The police are not in any way responsible for the Krous family’s stupidity. The Krous family is what is wrong with America and this generation of entitled, unresponsible, cry babies. It is sad how lacking in common sense people have become.

If your boat breaks down why not call a boat repair place? Call a boat tow service. Call AAA. Call your family or a friend. Don’t post on Facebook to harass the police because you’re too lazy, too cheap, or frankly lack any common sense to call a boat tow or repair service. How ever did the pilgrims make it to America? If your car breaks, you don’t call the police. Why would a boat be any different?/Trisha Bowlin, Spirit Lake, letter to the Coeur d'Alene Press. More here.
