NIC trustee blasts Banducci behavior

In response to the news that Trustee Todd Banducci of North Idaho College would seek re-election, posted on Huckleberries Online Wednesday, fellow Trustee Christie Wood posted this comment:

I find it appalling that Todd bragged about being NIC's worst nightmare. The man has no decency. If you watch the televised meetings you will see a very strained relationship between us.

I appreciate diversity in opinion. I think different perspectives lead to a healthy board with well rounded decisions.

I was sad to see Ron Nilson leave because he was a hard working board member who challenged me to think outside of the box. He was always respectful in his delivery.

Todd is nothing like him. His behavior toward me, students, faculty, staff, former President Dunlap, and other board members has frankly been uncivilized at times.

I have experienced threatening, rude, and abrasive behavior from him on numerous occasions. I have witnessed an explosive temper.

I have spoken with him many times over the past almost four years about his poor behavior.

He either does not share the perspectives of others about his actions, or he simply does not care how he behaves.
The most recent incident was after the final board vote on trustee zones. He did not like my vote. After the meeting was over he aggressively approached the table I was sitting at, bent down to his knees, gritted his teeth, and shook his fist at me. He angrily stated " Christie I just want you to know I can't wait to keep working with you ". Trustee Meyer witnessed this rude behavior.

There have been other incidents similar in nature that are completely unprofessional.

I have many friends who are conservative and active in the Republican party. Todd does not bring forward any of those ideals instead he focuses on an offensive demeanor so he can bragg about "being their worst nightmare".

This does not promote student success or advance the mission of the college.

For these reasons I cannot in good faith stay silent while he runs for re-election. Our community needs to make an informed decision in November.
