Wild Card/Thursday — 8.25.16

Mrs. O put her foot down this morning when she saw the brimming bowl of cherry tomatoes, mixed with a few "real" tomatoes. I told you not to plant so many tomato bushes. I tried to explain that I do so in order to get enough early ones to satisfy our summer appetites. And, besides, I said, it's always easy to give away tomatoes. Then, she eyed an onion, still in its skin, encased in dirty. How about this? And the yellow squash. Nobody wants these. They want zucchinis. For some reason, I started wishing that the first frost would come early. Here's your Wild Card ...
