Wild Card/Monday

Coeur d'Alene City Administrator Jim Hammond dropped by this AM with an old Spokesman-Review political cartoon by Milt Priggee, my old editorial board colleague. The cartoon showed Post Falls signing away its soul to a developer planning a huge project across the freeway from Riverbend. The project never happened. But Jim, who was Post Falls mayor at the time of the Priggee cartoon, and I chuckled at the old controversy. A lot of sweat and turmoil goes into making a community. Post Falls has been fortunate over the years to have had visionary leaders like Jim. I'm glad we have him here in Coeur d'Alene now. With that happy thought, I'll post today's Wild Card ...
