There are times when only a male angel will do

Pat Kuhns of Coeur d'Alene is a traditionalist and a careful Bible reader. The angels in the Bible who interacted with humans -- Gabriel, Michael, et al --  were men. Therefore, she wanted a male angel for her home nativity scene. But at local thrift shops she could only find angels that were depicted as beautiful women or babies. So Pat went to Plan B. She started looking for Superheroes that she could dress up as an angel. Which produced another problem. Superheroes usually wear masks. Scripture doesn't depict any angels with masks, although most of the Bible angels appear to have had superhero powers that would make Superman look like a weakling. Finally, Pat found a Chris Jericho doll. Jericho, a professional wrestler, met Pat's criteria: He was beautiful, blond and smiling (most WWF dolls wore frowns) -- and he had a biblical name: Chris (Christian) and Jericho, an Old Testament city. Pat then bought a female angel doll, stripped her bare, halo and all, and dressed Jericho for his debut in her manger scene. She also added two snowmen angels to complete her angel choir on high. Huckleberries isn't sure how many angel snowmen appeared to the faithful through the millennia but Pat's happy -- and that's all that matters.
