Hayden Chamber’s last air show debt settled 

The last outstanding debt from the Hayden Chamber of Commerce’s failed 2004 air show has finally been settled. “We’re pleased to be able to close this chapter in the chamber’s history,” said the organization’s executive director, Erna Rhinehart, in a message to The Press. Don't remember much about his event. Or non-event. Do you? CH

Wednesday Wild Card 12.28.16 

Our North Spokane street got plowed for the first time Monday night. Tuesday morning my husband and son were out shoveling bright and early. My son came in glowing-- from the exercise and from goodwill. It seems a couple guys about his age joined him for the last stretch after Derek left for work and then went on to help our neighbors.

Amazon reports its best holiday sales to date. Coincidentally, I received my very first Amazon gift card. I've got my eye on a couple Cd's and my sons are going to talk me through the ordering process. Or. I could just have them do it for me. That's how I get their father's gifts. He tells me what he wants and one of the kids orders it.

Minnesota outplays WSU, wins Holiday Bowl 17-12 

And to think Minnesota was the team that some folks worried would not show up for the Holiday Bowl. The Washington State Cougars were present, but played like they were the ones boycotting, declining to muster even an anemic offense until the final, unimpactful seconds of their 17-12 loss in the Holiday Bowl.
