75% of Idaho unhappy w/ed system

Almost 75 percent of Idahoans would prefer their child attend a private or public charter school, a survey released Tuesday from the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation reports. People’s Review of Education in Idaho, a public opinion survey conducted by the third-party research firm FDR Group, gives a voice to Idaho citizens, a crucial component previously missing in education improvement work in Idaho. While the survey reports Idahoans believe that the state’s education system falls short, they also believe education is key to economic success. For example, 80 percent of Idahoans say the Gem State should expand high school internships and work experience/Albertson Family Foundation. More here.

Question: So why do we keep electing politicians who oppose proper funding of public education?
