Indicted 37 

A federal grand jury has indicted 11 people arrested last week for their roles in the occupation of the Malheur refuge, including their leader, Ammon Bundy. Four occupiers remain holed up at the Malheur refuge south of Burns, saying they will not leave without assurances that they won’t be arrested.

Paul withdrawal disappoints Raul

Edit: Bill would fund Islamic schools 

Tongue firmly cheeked, Devin Rokyta of the Moscow-Pullman Daily News predicts there will be more private Islamic schools in Idaho as a result of a bill proposed by Rep. Ron Nate, R-Rexburg. Nate, a Mormon who teaches at BYU, wants to change the Idaho Constitution to repeal a ban on public funding of church schools.

Idaho House ♥'s plastic bags 18 

The Idaho House of Representatives acted decisively to prevent Idaho cities, counties or local governments from banning or taxing plastic grocery bags or other types of containers. The House voted 52-17 to tie the hands of local governments that might attempt such action, if plastic bags became a problem.

House OKs tax-cut bill 53-16 14 

The House has voted 53-16 in favor of HB 380, the tax-cut bill. Thirteen Democrats and three Republicans opposed it; one Democrat, Rep. Mark Nye, D-Pocatello, and 52 Republicans voted in favor. The Republicans voting “no” were Reps. Bell, Gibbs and Romrell.
