KCSO: Woman’s body dumped in lake

Kootenai County Sheriff's Department press release:

The investigation into the death of the 27-year-old Spokane woman found in Lake Coeur d’Alene is ongoing, but detectives have released further information in the case. On Nov., 9, 2015, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office was called to Fuller’s Bay at the south end of Lake Coeur d’Alene for a reported deceased body found floating in the water. The Sheriff’s dive team and detectives responded and recovered the body of Kimberly Sue Vezina. The Kootenai County Coroner’s report noted that Vezina died of “Combined Drug Toxicity.” Detectives working the case have also released that Vezina most likely died in Washington and was transported to Idaho and dumped in the lake in an effort to conceal the incident. Detectives have identified a person(s) of interest but are not releasing further information at this time. Once the investigation is completed, it will be sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.
