Wild Card/Tuesday — 7.26.16

Early yesterday, I thought the Democrats would have trouble uniting behind Hillary Clinton going forward from their national convention. After listening to First Lady Michelle Obama and U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders last night, I'm not so sure they won't. Michelle Obama simply hit a home run, as far as speeches go. Her eloquent speech served the purpose of putting the convention back on track. Sanders endorsement of Clinton seemed heart felt. I listened on the radio while gardening, so I wasn't influenced by cameras panning the crowd for reaction. I'm sure local Republicans won't agree with my assessment of the two main speakers last night. OTOH, I thought Mike Pence and Donald Trump put the GOP convention back on track after the Ted Cruz meltdown. I suspect Hillary will come out of the convention with a slight poll bounce -- and this one will stay close until the end. Here's your Wild Card ...
