Looks like we made it through Hump Day, HBO. You're stuck with me for one more day then DFO will be back and I'll be getting ready to head out on a vacation of my own -- a family road trip to southern Idaho. I'm going to leave you with this beautiful shot of Blackwell Island Wetland Trail in Coeur d'Alene.

So many graduations the past week and it seems the high school graduations of last-born or only children takes on a special poignancy. It’s not only a transition time for the young adult launching toward independence, but a first step into a new parenting reality for those about to become empty-nesters.
Some families create time capsules to preserve their memories; others deem it best to let their history die with them. Author David F. Mundell chose to put his family's story in writing, both to honor his father and to entertain others.
Sholeh Patrick/CDA Press writes: Careful what you wish for. Those long, stressful days at work may elicit fantasies of “the good life” of a retiree, but new research suggests retirement may not be all it’s cracked up to be. Or at least, not for as long. (Question: When do you plan on retiring?)

A storm of orange work shirts rolls through the hallway at Alliance Data, dotted with bright blue gloves amid wheeling gray trash cans and fresh cleaning supplies. This janitorial storm is led by John Parker, the night shift supervisor for IGI Advanced Cleaning Services.
The recent blockage of the old Eagle Creek Road that once served hundreds of placer miners during the Eagle City Gold Rush has at least one group of prospectors a little upset. Forest Service Road 152, as it is called now, has been the subject of controversy several times since it was built in 1884 to access gold in Eagle Creek.
There’s plenty of sensitivity to the idea of politicians secretly recording one another. So today’s Idaho Falls Post Register story about state Rep. (Question: What are you doing Father's Day?)
It looks like the frost didn't hit Rathdrum — or if it did the frost was melted off by the time I rolled out of bed. My neighbor and I took the time last night to cover our gardens with tarps and wrap garbage bags around our tomato plants. I checked this morning and all looks well in my garden spot.
