A fire destroyed a garage south of Post Falls on Tuesday night causing an estimated $75,000 worth of damage. The contents lost during the blaze at 863 S. Star Garnet Road included a 2015 Subaru wagon, a riding lawn mower and a sauna, according to Kootenai County Fire and Rescue officials.
The Coeur d’Alene Tribe has declined to renew Coeur d’Alene Casino CEO Dave Matheson’s contract this week and will begin a search for a new CEO, preferably from within the organization. “His contract came up and the council decided not to renew it,” said Helo Hancock, legislative director for the Tribe.
The Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing next Tuesday, June 21, on the nomination of Idaho District Judge David Nye of Pocatello to be Idaho’s next federal district judge, replacing longtime, retired Judge Edward Lodge.
