US Attorney: Statement misinterpreted

U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson has issued a second statement on the Twin Falls juvenile sex assault case after she says many people misinterpreted her preliminary statement. On Friday, Olsen said in a statement that she's encouraging all residents to "remain calm and supportive, to pay close attention to the facts that have been released by law enforcement and the prosecuting attorney, and to avoid spreading false rumors and inaccuracies." Three young boys are accused of sexually assaulting a young girl at a Twin Falls apartment complex. Rumors started circulating that the accused juveniles were Syrian refugees and that the boys held the young girl by knife point. On Tuesday, Olson says many in the press, public and online bloggers misinterpreted her statement/KBOI. More here.
