Latah Co GOP votes to oust Vice Chair

Thirteen out of the 18 present Latah County GOP precinct committeemen voted to remove the county party's vice chairman, John Freeland, in a no-confidence secret ballot Tuesday night at Schierman's Clubhouse and Event Center in Moscow. Although the vote carried the two-thirds majority required to remove Freeland, Bill Goesling, who lost to Carl Berglund last month in the primary election for District 5A of the Idaho House of Representatives, made a motion to reconsider the vote at the next Latah County GOP meeting. Before the vote, heated discussions took place among Latah County GOP Chairman Thomas Lawford, Berglund, GOP District 5 Chairman Gresham Bouma, Freeland and committeemen and women/Garrett Cabeza, Moscow-Pullman Daily News. Question: You have to admit all the drama in the GOP central committees of the Idaho Panhandle are amusing. Thoughts?
