City to honor Reed, Manley

In September 2014, Mike McLean of the Journal of Business penned a profile of the late Scott Reed as the octogenarian Coeur d'Alene attorney prepared to retire. I'm re-running that article today, along with a list of links to posts about Scott and his long-time friend Art Manley, both of whom will be honored for their enormous contributions to Coeur d'Alene by the city Friday afternoon:

At the age of 86, longtime Coeur d’Alene attorney Scott Reed finally decided earlier this year to retire, although he admits he’s not very good at it yet. Though he’s not taking new cases, the sole practitioner known even by friends as an environmental gadfly, still goes to the office most days. “There’s no official retirement. I regard it as a midlife crisis,” he quips. “There’s always stuff that has to be carried on." More here.
