A local fisherman rescued Anthony Nixon, 69, of Coeur d'Alene, this morning after Nixon inadvertently capsized his kayak in 40-degree Lake Coeur d'Alene, near Higgens Point. Fisherman Kevin Waites, of Coeur d'Alene, rescued Nixon after he'd been in the water 15 to 20 minutes. Nixon was treated and released at the scene.
The Coeur d'Alene Police Department has learned that shooting suspect Kyle Odom sent a letter to his parent along with multiple news agencies. The documents indicate that the shooting of Pastor Tim Remington was planned and that Odom may have had a second target in the church.
