Celebrating mothers

My mother will turn 91 next month. She's in a nice assisted living place in Coeur d'Alene after suffering a rough few months recovering from a fall that occurred Jan. 6. That fall launched months of rehabilitation, beginning at Kootenai Health. Northwest Rehabilitation in Post Falls and Life Care in Coeur d'Alene helped put mom back together. Now, she's in another nice facility with a higher level of daily care. During the process, my two local sibs and I moved mom from her apartment and downsizing her belongings. That's how I gained possession of boxes of her diaries. I've been able to piece together a better picture of her life on dairies that my father owned or managed. I have gained more appreciation for her, knowing that under the right circumstances that she might have been a writer. I gained my creative side from her, my work ethic from Dad. She's one of the happiest 90+ people I know. And still has a sharp wit. All six of us siblings appreciate what she sacrificed to help make us successful.

Question: Do you have any fond remembrances of your mother to share?
