Malek laps Macomber in fund-raising

In the race for the House District 4A seat, state Rep. Luke Malek, R-Coeur d'Alene, has raised seven times as much money as his Tea Party challenger Arthur Macomber of Coeur d'Alene. Malek has raised a total of $48,489 for this race, including $31,200 in the most recent campaign finance disclosure period. Idaho Power is the leading contributor to Malek's campaign in the recent reporting period with a contribution of $1,500. Those making contributions of $1,000 were: Idaho Forest Group, CenturyLink, PFFI PAC, IAFF Local 1773 PAC, Jim Deffenbaugh, Nampa Firefighters PAC, Pocatello Fire Fighters PAC, Idaho Sugarbeet Growers PAC, NRA Political Victory Fund, Boise Firefighter PAC, and Stimson Lumber Co. Macomber, meanwhile, has raised a total of $6,891, including $6,192 in the recent filing period. He received one $1,000 donation from Winning for Idaho.
