Man’s dead body found near Hayden Creek

Kootenai County sheriff’s detectives and deputies are on the scene of a dead body in the Coeur d’Alene National Forest. At just past noon today, deputies were called to the Hayden Creek area in the Coeur d’Alene National Forest for a reported dead body. Two Coeur d’Alene men found the remains of a male and contacted the Sheriff’s Office. Forest Service Road 437, commonly known as Hayden Creek Road, is closed between E. Hayden Lake Road and Forest Service Road 206, and will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time. The identity of the body and manner of death has not been confirmed and no further information is available at this time/Lt Stu Miller, Kootenai County Sheriff's Office.
