Spudbob: Tired of Comment Boors

From Spudbob:

An open post with some personal observations:

Yesterday another thread was pushed sideways and went off the tracks. It’s a real shame when our discussions devolve into an “I’m rubber and you’re glue” exchange. Personally when that happens, I tend to not only skip over the back-and-forth in the discussion but I find myself avoiding the thread altogether. I may be alone in this but I also find myself avoiding those commenters when they post in other threads as well. In my opinion, if you are engaged in a long exchange and have said the same thing several times, you are in danger of becoming a bore and really, no one wants that. Getting in the last word, although it may feel good at the moment, is an onanistic pleasure not shared by others.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Thoughts?
