Poll: Don’t sell lots near Tubbs Hill

  • Wednesday Poll: Overwhelmingly, Hucks Nation supports Mayor Steve Widmyer quest to preserve 2 lots (about one acre) adjoining Tubbs Hill for green space. Widmyer, a member of ignite cda, is on record supporting the public use of the two lots, which were purchased by the urban renewal board for future sale to raise money for other URA projects. The lots are valued at a combined $960,000. 307 of 340 respondents (90.29%) want the lots to be preserved for public use. Only29 (8.53%) support the sale of the lots. 4 (1.18%) were undecided.
