Sheriff Ben: Scammers are bold

"My wife called this morning from her office to tell me (tongue in cheek) that she is being arrested. At least that is what the caller claiming to be from the IRS told her when they called her direct line in the Specialty Courts office at the County. She said that she wanted to ask them to send the warrant directly to her husband... the Sheriff. No one is exempt from these scammers" -- Kootenai County Sheriff Ben Wolfinger.

DFO: A scammer called my smart phone today, claiming that I had received several calls about problems with my credit card. Which may be true. I pay off the balances at the end of the month. So the credit card companies never get a dime of interest from me.

Question: What was the nature of your last scam call?
