ignite cda lots to be sold

As I mentioned last week, ignite cda is in the process of removing the final 4 buildings on some 12 lots that it had purchased on Park Drive, north of Memorial Field. The run-down houses had been used as rentals for North Idaho College students. The urban renewal agency has been removing the houses over the last two years, as they became open. The four final ones will be used as training burns for the local fire department. Executive Tony Berns told Huckleberries that the lots will be consolidated into 10 bigger ones and then sold for private homes. The money will raised from the sales will be used to fund other urban renewal projects. It'll be interesting to see if there's any move to keep the 10 lots public, as was the case for 2 lots adjoining Tubbs Hill.
