James Julian Shepperd, 90, of Hayden, Idaho, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home February 21, 2017. He was born July 29, 1926 in Coeur d'Alene, ID to Warren T. and Mildred B. (Dodge) Shepperd. Jim grew up in Coeur d'Alene, and graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 1944. He enlisted right away and went to boot camp at Farragut, Idaho before becoming a Carpenters Mate in the Navy. He was a proud WWII veteran, and became a lifetime member of the VFW after his discharge. More here.
