Warming center to remain open

The St Vincent de Paul Warming Center Will Be Open Tuesday Night through Friday Night. The cold continues. Because of the extremely cold weather, the St Vincent de Paul’s Warming Center will be open the evenings of Tuesday, January 3rd through Friday night January 6th. As always, all future nights will be extended as extreme cold persists.

Since November 1, the Warming Center will have been open 34 out of 61 days, and currently 30 straight days. The staff has done an amazing job considering being open for so many days in a row. We are in need of donations of warm food and coats. As the sub-30 degree temperatures continue, St Vincent’s shelter will always be open from 7:00pm-7:00am. Transportation will be leaving from the St Vincent de Paul Father Bill’s Kitchen at 6:45pm on the nights we are open, and will transport back the next morning.

The Post Falls Shelter located at 202 W. 7th Street in Post Falls, behind the Post Falls St Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, in the Kamps Apartment basement. St Vincent de Paul is able to shelter 40 individuals and will have available sleeping bags, blankets, gloves, stocking caps, coats, a full bathroom, warm food and drinks.

If you are able to help or donate please contact Warming Center Coordinator Scott at 208-664-3095 Ext. 306/St. Vincent de Paul's news release.
