From Detective Dennis Stinebaugh of the Kootenai County Sheriff's Department:

"The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious of thefts in the Hauser Lake area. We are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the female in the attached images. She is believed to be traveling with an unknown male in a 4 door red Toyota with Oregon License plates. This person is believed to be responsible for attempting to pass stolen checks at various locations throughout Kootenai County. The checks were stolen from mailboxes in the Hauser area.

"It is believed this person of interest may be traveling with an unknown number of companions. We are also seeking information in regards to the identity of another female that entered into Bank of America located on Henry St. in Post Falls and attempted to cash a fraudulent check on 01/04/2017. She is described as a heavy set white female with red hair.

"Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Det. R. Bobier at (208) 446-1367."
