Ice storm hits Spokane, CdA areas

The pavement at 29th Avenue and Perry Street in Spokane was slick this morning. Story here. (Jesse Tinsley/SR photo)

I drive to work by taking Garden Avenue through the Kootenai County Courthouse complex. As you know, Garden has a long slope down to Northwest Boulevard, This morning, my 4Runner, in 4WD sled about half way down the ice-coated hill. In front of me, the truck that runs papers from the Coeur d'Alene Press to the Columbia Basin Herald in Moses Lake fish-tailed halfway down the hill. It has been awhile since I've seen our roads this slick. However, the drivers were being cautious. I saw no crashes en route to work. How did your morning commute go?
