AM Scanner Traffic: I-90 shut at Rose Lake

"The Idaho State Police are currently working multi vehicle semi crashes on I-90 at milepost 34, Rose Lake.  The westbound lanes are currently blocked and will most likely remain closed for approximately 3 hours.  We are working as quickly as we can to clear the road, but the road will be closed for a significant amount of time"/Idaho State Police news release.

  • 11:59 a.m. Trauma Injury -- A 30YO worker in CdA hurt hand when equipment failed, unknown location.
  • 11:11 a.m. Injury Accident -- Possibly 2nd trauma patient from big crash on w/b I-90/Rose Lake area.
  • 10:37 a.m. Stuck Motorist -- Officer is helping female driver out of snow bank @ 3700 Canyon Drive/CdA.
  • 10:25 a.m. Parking Problem -- Old brown pickup has been parked @ 15th St/Boyd Ave for a week.
  • 10:17 a.m. Traffic Hazard -- Wrenches in middle of H95/Wyoming Ave, Hayden.
  • 10:01 a.m. Welfare Check -- Groggy female has slept in vehicle @ Canfield Mountain trailhead overnight.
  • 9:42 a.m. Injury Accident -- A trauma team w/2 surgeons from Kootenai Health are en route to Rose Lake crash scene, where a male is trapped in a vehicle and his leg caught by a foot.
  • 9:35 a.m. Injury Accident -- Officer trying to get to Rose Lake crash scene reports his car is sideways on road.
  • 9:03 a.m. Slick Road -- Road above Powderhorn Bay is extremely icy.
  • 8:34 a.m. Traffic Hazard -- Vehicles snagged in traffic by big accident at MP 34 are turning around in median and going wrong way on freeway.
  • 8:29 a.m. Eviction notice -- 2400 block of N7th St/CdA.
  • 8:15 a.m. Unknown Injury -- Vehicle has crashed 20 feet over bank @ Mokins Bay/Hayden Lake.
