2nd Bonner County deputy goes home

Coeur d'Alene PD Facebook post: "Today, Bonner County Deputy Michael R Gagnon was released from Kootenai Medical Center. On behalf of everyone at The Coeur d'Alene Police Department, we hope for a quick recovery to both Deputy Gagnon and Deputy Penn."

If you're wondering why police cars and fire trucks were flashing lights and blaring sirens on northbound Highway 95 late this morning, Detective Dennis Stinebaugh of the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office has the answer:

"The North Idaho Critical Incident Task Force members and the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office are happy to announce that Bonner County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Gagnon was released from Kootenai Health earlier today. Several local law enforcement and fire agencies showed their support by participated in a vehicle procession from Kootenai Health to his home. (Shooting suspect) Adam Foster’s condition has been upgraded to 'Good.' This incident is still an active investigation. Additional information will be disseminated as quickly as possible when it is appropriate to do so."
