Hospital releases shooting suspect

Earlier today, Adam Deacon Foster was released from Kootenai Health. He was then transported to the Kootenai County Public Safety Building where he is being held on a Warrant of Detention. Pro-life group opposes petition drive 

In Idaho, two similar proposals are generating chatter: One from freshman Sen. Dan Foreman that would classify abortion as first-degree murder, and a petition circulating that would do the same. But neither proposal has the backing of one of the state's most influential anti-abortion organizations -- Right to Life of Idaho.

Labrador backs anti-abortion bill 

Rep. Raúl Labrador, R-Idaho, today joined House colleagues in approving the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, which establishes a uniform policy against taxpayer funding of abortion in all government programs including the Affordable Care Act.

When I was young, I was told by Popeye the Sailor Man that I'd be "strong to the finish if (I) ate my spinach." Just like him. Now, we have kale. I don't know a song to extol kale's plusses. But I do know that the nation's nutritionists have gone ga-ga for kale (as opposed to Cocoa Puffs). Adriana Janovich writes about a special kale salad.

Spudbod spotted this ginormous igloo in the Coeur d'Alene Golf Course neighborhood (Fairway Drive between Hillcrest and Evergreen, to be exact. The house number shows on the picture). It is easily 5-6 six feet tall in the inside.

U-Haul: CdA #11 in growth cities 

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, ranks No. 11 among the U-Haul Top 25 U.S. Growth Cities for locations with a population of 10,000 to 50,000, according to U-Haul. U-Haul locations in Coeur d'Alene saw 53 percent of one-way truck rental customers coming into the city as opposed to leaving.
