Wild Card/Tuesday — 7.18.17

I spent quite a bit of time during my recent extended weekend hanging with my son and daughter-in-law in downtown Portland, in the area around Powell's. Downtown Portland is a different place when you don't have to worry about traffic and parking. A clean place. It's clean and has great places to eat and shop. On a whim, we hiked from downtown Portland to the Rose Garden. A lot of uphill climbing. But worth the payoff, once we reached the beautiful, fragrant roses. It was nice to have the kids and their spouses together with us, living in the same time zone. Those of you who have kids in town don't know how lucky you have it. Here's your Wild Card ...
