Hump Day Wild Card — 7.19.17

I have no idea what Gov. Butch Otter will leave behind as a legacy. I can't think of anything that he has accomplished of significance. However, I will remember him as the stumbling block who stopped the removal of sales tax from groceries. Otter claims it would blow a hole in revenue stream. But we all know that we Idaho runs ha-huge revenue surpluses every year. The money could have been found to remove this goofy tax on food, if Otter had shown the will. Even the Idaho Legislature recognized that this is an unfair tax on lower income people. You can discuss this issue or start your own thread with this Wild Card ...
