Crapo, Risch earn Trib JEERS

In his weekly Cheers & Jeers column, Opinion Editor Marty Trillhaase of the Lewiston Tribune gave JEERS ... to Idaho Republican Sens. Jim Risch and Mike Crapo:

Is there any health care cut so draconian that these two would oppose it?

Tuesday, they dutifully stood with their 50 GOP colleagues to hand Majority Leader Mitch McConnell just enough legislative wiggle room to begin repealing Obamacare.

Then they voted for the Better Care Reconciliation Act - which the Congressional Budget Office says would throw about 22 million people off their health care insurance by 2026. That was too much for nine of their Republican colleagues - including Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska - who joined with all 48 Democrats to kill it. More here.
