I plan to check out activities at City Park today, to check out the first Family Fun Day in the Park, as well as the action at the Coeur d'Alene Carousel. I suspect if the Fun Day is successful this year, it'll become part of the downtown summer recreation landscape in the years ahead.

Apparently, Sandpoint has ditched its one-way system through town for a two-way system, and some residents are upset. Sandpoint Online reports that the move to a one-way street back in 1979 was controversial, too. (Question: Did you enjoy the one-way system through downtown Sandpoint?)
The Idaho Supreme Court has suspended Sandpoint attorney Jeremy Featherston's license to practice law for a year. The court found that Featherston had committed misconduct in a case that dates back to 2014 when his former brother-in-law was arrested in Alaska on drug charges.
Responding to a Facebook Friend comment re: teen fighting on the waterfront, Mayor Steve Widmyer said: "The officers have been instructed to cite, possibly arrest, but not warn. At this point, that’s how we’re dealing with it."

The 2017 season for the Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre launches Wednesday with the production of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang." The production will rely on theater tricks like lighting and projection work to recreate the magical properties of the car as seen in the 1968 movie by the same name.
