Seems some garter snakes slithered onto the Hazels' cabin property -- and not it's "me or them," according to Christa. She looked for a snake repellent but ran into another problem. I enjoy fireworks. Mrs. O and I watch the chamber fireworks from City Beach on the Fourth of July. We enjoy the neighborhood fireworks while riding to and from the community fireworks show. But I don't have much use for the clowns who shoot them off before and after the Fourth of July, as a neighbor did last evening. How about you?

The city of Coeur d'Alene is setting up a temporary Skate Park center near Sunset Park on Best Avenue. The move is being made as the city demolishes the old park behind Memorial Field as part of the Four Corners upgrade that will also affect Memorial Field.
