Domestic dispute leads to wanted man's arrest 1
The Coeur d'Alene Police Department arrested a wanted man on several charges after he was caught on N10th Place for allegedly violating a no-contact order. A domestic dispute led to a brief police standoff and the eventual arrest of Christopher Neal Osborn.

All Indiana Jones fans know that their hero fears/hates snakes. So does Christa Hazel. Seems some garter snakes slithered onto the Hazels' cabin property -- and not it's "me or them," according to Christa. She looked for a snake repellent but ran into another problem. 4th of July starts early 6
I enjoy fireworks. Mrs. O and I watch the chamber fireworks from City Beach on the Fourth of July. We enjoy the neighborhood fireworks while riding to and from the community fireworks show. But I don't have much use for the clowns who shoot them off before and after the Fourth of July, as a neighbor did last evening. How about you?

City sets up temporary skate park near Sunset
The city of Coeur d'Alene is setting up a temporary Skate Park center near Sunset Park on Best Avenue. The move is being made as the city demolishes the old park behind Memorial Field as part of the Four Corners upgrade that will also affect Memorial Field.

I've begun listening to podcasts with on my iPhone. Usually, I listen to them while I walk during the lunch hour or while watering the garden during the evenings. At this point, my podcast range is limited. I listen to "Fresh Air" and "Ask Me Another" from NPR and Colin Cowherd's "Best of the Herd." (Q: Which podcasts do you listen to?)
'50 Shades' popular in Spokane 5
Like the rest of the nation, Spokane was obsessed with “Fifty Shades of Grey” a few years ago. Spokane Library circulation records say the e-book was borrowed a total of 696 times in 2012 and the total number of checkouts for the trilogy was 1,677. But the hard-bound copy of the book, for some reason, wasn't as popular. (Q: Have you read the book?)
