Asst City Manager Sam Taylor (RE: Rolling the dice): "We don't know where it came from as of yet. Over the weekend the Fire Department informed our Parks & Recreation Department of the large metal object. After determining it wasn't a bomb, nor did it appear toxic, Parks decided to let it lie until Monday and avoid overtime costs. As of now it's been moved and we plan on placing it up in the Memorial Field/BLM corridor area (it may be there now) for a period of time in case someone wants to claim it as their property. If they don't we may recycle it."
