Betrayed by butternut squash

David Townsend, the communication coordinator for the Coeur d'Alene Library, feels betrayed/bamboozled today -- not that it's necessarily a bad thing in this instance. Here's his explainer via Facebook Wednesday:

"Confession, they say, is good for the soul. I really enjoy the salad bar at Pilgrim's Market. I know, I'm shocked, too. Lot of fresh greens, carrots, mushrooms, bacon, nuts, black beans, etc. A nice lunch or dinner. They charge by the weight, so you are really in control when it comes to your choices. This evening I was crafting a masterpiece when they played a trick on me. Shredded butternut squash looks a lot like shredded cheddar cheese. Pretty insidious. The part that's pretty troubling is that it didn't ruin the salad. Nonetheless I feel betrayed."

Question: Have you ever felt betrayed by a food choice?
