Mayor Steve Widmyer announced late this afternoon that he will seek re-election:​ "The future of the community that I have called home for  54 years is very bright. I would like to continue to work to make our City a great place to live. Today I am announcing that I will be seeking a 2nd term to serve as your Mayor." Full statement below.

Trump budget concerns Idaho reps

Memorial Field area upgrade soon 

The city will ask for bids soon on a proposed $2.2 million realignment and redevelopment of Memorial Field and the property around it. Park and Recreation Director Bill Greenwood told ignite cda last week that ground breaking for a parkng lot associated with the project will be July 5.
