Item: Commandments make a move: Marble block now sits at the Veterans Plaza/Coeur d'Alene Press
More Info: The commandments aren't gone. They've justrelocated. Kootenai County has moved the block of marble inscribed with the Ten Commandments from the courthouse lawn to the Veterans Plaza, beside the Administration Building. The small monolith was moved several hundred feet so it would sit among other pieces for public viewing, said Building and Grounds Manager Shawn Riley, like the memorial for fallen soldiers and seamen, and the statue for former Commissioner Ronald Rankin.
Question: Should the Ten Commandments be posted at the Kootenai County Courthouse?
Atmospheric Ruminations blogger via Facebook: “There’s a pier that extends out into the bay near
where I live (Oregon Coast). I was parked there one day, just loafing around, when I saw a book on the picnic table nearby. Being curious, I wondered what the book’s title was, and maybe I’d steal it if it was any good. The title? “HOLY BIBLE”. Well, since that’s the book which contains the Ten Commandments, I thot, “wow, if I steal a Bible, I’ll probably be sent to the lowest depths of Hell.” So I left it where it was and proceeded quietly on my way.
Question: How many of the 10 Commandments can you name without looking at Exodus 20?

More Info: The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Wednesday that a Utah city can refuse to put a religious group’s monument in a public park near a similar Ten Commandments display. The justices unanimously sided with the city of Pleasant Grove, which had said a ruling for the religious group would mean public parks across the country would have to allow privately donated monuments that express different views from those already on display.
Question: Are you bothered by monuments displaying 10 Commandments in parks and other public areas, like the Kootenai County Courthouse lawn?
