It's breathtaking to watch how Idaho House Speaker Lawerence Denney, R-Midvale, (pictured) has found the religion of ethics reform. Last week, Denney said he'd support political ethics bills the Democratic minority is pursuing. It was all good words, good works and “come to Jesus.” Then Friday, Boss Denney said two can play this “culture of corruption” game, responding to state Democratic Chairman Larry Grant's blast at the GOP. So Denney began lobbing water balloons at Democratic legislators. One, he said, used a state computer to solicit campaign contributions. Another, he said, used a state computer to forward employee complaints against a state commission chairman to influence another political contest. … Let it be said that using taxpayer resources on partisan campaigns is a no-no.
