Statesman: BSU Violations Troubling

Boise State University’s NCAA violations include, almost literally, some nickel-and-dime stuff. Forty football players received $4,934 in impermissible benefits — the smallest totaling $2.34. But the problems have accumulated since 2005, involving coaches and players in several sports. This is a pattern, a troubling one. More here.

Question: Has Boise State played a little fast & loose with the rules as a result of becoming a football power?
