Mr. D: Idaho is becoming a place not to raise a family. Both of my kids are college grads as are their spouses.
One is not buying a house in Idaho, but looking in Spokane where it’s possible to make a liveable wage and still enjoy the lake and mountains of Idaho without all of the negatives. The other is postponing pursuing their graduate degree because they are evaluating if it’s worth it to stay. Three of the four were born and raised here. Idaho is drowning under the one party syatem.
Question: Has Idaho become less family friendly as a result of the 2011 Legislature?

More Info: The survey, the fourth of its kind conducted by the city since 2002, solicited answers to questions from 1,200 randomly selected households. A total of 356 surveys were returned, for a response rate of 32 percent. “The vast majority of all residents (94 percent) rated the overall quality of life in Moscow as good or excellent,” according to the survey report. The percentage was two points higher compared to surveys taken in 2002, 2004 and 2008.
