Stateline Speedway got its 2009 season underway with their annual Racers Jamboree. Check out the post-race story and results.

 Stateline Racer's Startup 2009 Season
                                       

POST FALLS, IDAHO - April 5, 2009 - Over 40 teams Saturday afternoon converged on
Stateline Speedway for the annual Racer's Jamboree non-points race event. Drivers
and teams worked out mechanical issues and dialed in setups for season opening
events this week.



Twenty Road Runners, starting their series this Wednesday, attended the event. Tim
and Shannon Benn were the big winners with Tim setting fast time and Shannon winning
one the main events.



Ben Hawk, Brian Sawatzki, and Terry Rightenger also recorded wins. A large
contingent of rookies also fared well running it top positions.



Justin Lovitt set fast time for the Fever 4's. Bruce Garber won the dash. Fever 4's
did not run a main event after a spin and pileup in the heat race. Joel Schrader out
ran Jody Duncan in a Hobby Stock duel. Will Whitlow was the Street Stock event
winner.



Ron Custer and Jake Bisset took win in the Legends. Five cars took part in the event.



ICAR Late Model driver Braeden Havens, Late Model 4 driver Steve Schovaers and three
Early Stocks also participated in the event.



Stateline Speedway kicks off the 2009 season this Wednesday and Saturday night with
series point races. Wednesday Night Fever starts at 6pm with Road Runners, Fever 4's
and Bump to Pass cars. Admission is $5.75 for adults; kids under ten are free.



On Saturday the INSCA Winged Sprint Car Series kick off their season along with
Street Stocks and Late Model 4's. Events start an hour early at 5pm. Adult admission
is $10; kids under six are free.
