Knoxville Raceway is a semi-banked half-mile oval. The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series has raced six times this season on a track that size. The winners include: Donny Schatz (Volusia Speedway Park-twice and The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway), Joey Saldana (Volusia Speedway Park and Lone Star Speedway) and Chad Kemenah (Manzanita Speedway).

Concord, NC— April 27, 2009

WHAT
• The World of Outlaws head to the upper Midwest this weekend for a stop at Huset’s Speedway in South Dakota on Friday, May 1, followed by a visit to the famed Knoxville Raceway in Iowa on Saturday, May 2. For the second and third consecutive races, the World of Outlaws event will serve as the season opener at the respective tracks they are competing at. After two thrilling races last weekend and a shakeup in the Top-Five in the championship standings, including 20-time series champion Steve Kinser taking over the top spot, the series wraps up their swing of five consecutive races on bullrings at Huset’s Speedway and will begin a stretch of six straight events on half-miles at Knoxville Raceway. Last season Craig Dollansky won both races at Huset’s, while three-time and defending series champion Donny Schatz was victorious twice at Knoxville.

WHEN
• On Friday May 1 at Huset’s Speedway, the pit gates will open at 12 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 5 p.m. Central and hot laps are set for 7:15 p.m. Central.

• On Saturday, May 2 at Knoxville Raceway, the pit gates will open at 4 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 6 p.m. Central and hot laps are set for 6:45 p.m. Central.



WHERE
• Huset’s Speedway is located in Brandon, South Dakota. Take I-90 east of Sioux Falls to exit 406, then go south three miles on SR 11.

• Knoxville Raceway is located at the north edge of Knoxville, Iowa on State Road 14 (track is located on the Marion County Fairgrounds).


TICKETS
• On Friday, May 1 at Huset’s Speedway all seats will be general admission and will be available beginning the day of the race, with adult tickets $30, with tickets for juniors (ages 8-14) just $5 and kids ages 7-under will be admitted free of charge. • On Saturday, May 2 at Knoxville Raceway, adult general admission tickets will be $27 with general admission tickets for children just $13.50.
