ICAR Late Model Series Heads To Stateline

The ICAR Late Model Series heads to Stateline Speedway for its third race of the 2009. Series officials have released the format for this weekend's event.

Hello all!  It looks as if we should have a great turnout this week.  We have changed the format  a little this week and hope it adds some excitement.  See you all Saturday.

Race #3 – ICAR Late Model Series
Auto Glass Express - Twin 35’s
State Line Speedway (1/4-mile oval)

Date: Saturday - July 11, 2009Feature: Twin 35 Lap Features
Back Gate Opens @ 1:00pm

ICAR hot lap sessions begin at 2:30pm. All cars must pass tech prior to hot lapping. Qualifying for all classes begin at 6:00pm. Racing begins at 7:15pm. 

Format: A & B trophy dashes, B-main(if required), Happy Minutes(10-min hot lap session), Twin 35 Lap Mains

22-car feature event. (If more than 22 cars attempt qualifying runs, 16 cars will be locked into A by qualifying / 4 additional move up from B main / 2 provisional positions based on previous champions and current points and must have attempted to race in thru B main)

 

1st Main will be inverted by qualifying times.

 

2nd Main will be inverted by vote of the fans.

 

Points: Drivers will receive finish points in each main.

 

Event Purse: Based on an accumulation of the all points. Tie breaks will be determined by highest finisher in 2nd main.

1st................$600.00
2nd...............$500.00
3rd................$400.00
4th – 22nd…$300.00

 

B-main: $25 for 4 transfers, and then 23+….. $100.00

 

Total purse (at 22 car): $7,200.00

**Happy Minutes; Hot Lap Session: Only cars that participate in this hot lap session will be awarded point’s equivalent to our 20 heat race points.

 

**Prohibited changes between features: NO TIRES, NO SHOCKS AND NO SPRINGS.

 

**All cars that have not been whistled must come to the track with both front intake manifold bolts drilled.
