Racing Community Races for Relay for Life

Skagit Speedway drivers, fans and officials will take part in a fund-raiser for Relay for Life on Saturday night.

ALGER, Wash. - June 11, 2009 - Drivers, officials, fans, and even Roscoe the
track mascot will join together at Skagit Speedway Saturday night in support
of Skagit County Relay for Life being held at Burlington-Edison High School.

Drivers, race officials and fans will help raise donation's for Relay for
Life with donation collection buckets around the facility and a pass the
helmet session where fans can meet their favorite drivers in the grandstands
and donate to the relay.

"We are proud to participate in this event." Steve Beitler, Skagit Speedway
Promoter said. "It's also a great way for us to honor our friends and family
who have battled cancer."

After the races, Skagit Speedway will join and participate in the walk at
Burlington-Edison High School in an event that raises awareness for cancer
research.

Officials and staff on Schary's Skagit Speedway Team will walk in memory of
Schary Anderman, avid race fan and wife of track official Andy Anderman, and
other members of the racing community that have battled cancer.
