World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series At a Glance: U.S. 36 Raceway & Knoxville Raceway

Concord, NC— June 23, 2009

WHAT
• The blazing fast U.S. 36 Raceway awaits the World of Outlaws this week for the Missouri High-Banked Nationals on Friday, June 26, followed by a stop at the famed Knoxville Raceway in Iowa on Saturday, June 27. After a rainout at U.S. 36 last season, this weekend’s event will mark the third appearance for the series at the track which is one of just three on the 2009 schedule with a single digit track record. Jac Haudenschild and Jason Meyers each have won at the ultra high-banked track in the past. Donny Schatz was victorious in the series first visit to Knoxville Raceway in early May. The three-time and defending series champion currently holds a 59-point lead over Joey Saldana in the series standings, with Jason Meyers third and 20-time series champion Steve Kinser fourth.

WHEN
• On Friday, June 26 at U.S. 36 Raceway, hot laps are set for 6 p.m. Central.

• On Saturday, June 27 at Knoxville Raceway, hot laps are set for 6:45 p.m. Central.


WHERE
• U.S. 36 Raceway is located in Osborn, Missouri.

• Knoxville Raceway is located at the north edge of Knoxville, Iowa.
