Working Saturday night from a top-6 starting position, Gary Lewis moved to the lead in the late portions of the 125-lap main event and nailed down the win to compliment a runner-up finish on May 2 at Wenatchee Valley’s Super Oval.
NASCAR returns "home" to Charlotte, N.C. this week for their annual All-Star Race Weekend. Most teams are based in the Charlotte area and while many will be racing most drivers and crews will have the chance to sleep in their beds this weekend.
There were 7 lead changes among five drivers during the 125-lap feature on the banked .500-mile oval. Lewis made the last change on lap 87. Once getting the lead of the race it was evident that he was not going to lose it.
