The great weather and the sound of race cars took over Saturday night, and another very good crowd strolled in, it was time to enjoy the Youth Hornets, Mini Stocks, 360 Sprints and Pro 4 trucks!

A somber start to raceday at ERP, learning about the passing of Daniel Hector.   The great weather and the sound of race cars took over, and another very good crowd strolled in, it was time to enjoy the Youth Hornets, Mini Stocks, 360 Sprints and Pro 4 trucks!

Trophy Dash winners:
Youth Hornet B- #96 Austin Schooler, Ephrata
Youth Hornet A- #43 Damon Claibourn, Eniat
Mini B- #21 Jeff Krieder, Coulee City
Mini A- #88 Jeff Hector, Ephrata
Sprint B- #6 Rich Fast, Mesa
Sprint A- #78 Mike Fought, Othello
Pro 4 B- #78 Bobby Baker, Wallula
Pro 4 A- #9 Bo Swenson, Ephrata

A slippery race track under the sun made for fun to watch Heat races and some last
lap passes!  Here's who won:
YH B- #90 Josh Waulters, Quincy
YH A- #43 Damon Claibourn, Eniat
Mini B- #52 Dave Macken
Mini A- #88 Jeff Hector, Ephrata
Sprint B- #85 Kevin Witte, Ephrata
Sprint A- #78 Mike Fought, Othello
Pro 4 B- #3 JR Kelly, Yelm
Pro 4 A- #9 Bo Swenson, Ephrata

With Swenson, Fought, Claibourn and Hector winning their first two races of the  night, the Mains were looking like runaways, not at ERP!  The short break before Mains gave all the racers a chance to take advantage of a cooler track.  A lot  of attrition reduced the number of cars racing, but also gave all more room to work. Macken drove a good race in the Mini's, but an emotional Jeff Hector was on a mission.

Jeff also drove the grip right out of his truck trying for another win, but series point leader Milligan held on.
