World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series At a Glance: Attica Raceway Park & I-96 Speedway

Donny Schatz, the three-time and defending World of Outlaws champion and current series point leader, was victorious at Attica last season, while 20-time series title winner Steve Kinser, who is currently second in the standings, was the winner at I-96 Speedway.


Concord, NC— May 25, 2009

WHAT
• Following an event on Memorial Day at Canandaigua Speedway in New York to wrap up the first East Coast swing of the season, the World of Outlaws head back to the Midwest this coming weekend for events at Attica Raceway Park in Ohio on Friday, May 29 and I-96 Speedway in Michigan on Saturday, May 30. Donny Schatz, the three-time and defending World of Outlaws champion and current series point leader, was victorious at Attica last season, while 20-time series title winner Steve Kinser, who is currently second in the standings, was the winner at I-96 Speedway. Kinser is the only driver that has won more multiple feature events with the series at both tracks.

WHEN
• On Friday, May 29 at Attica Raceway Park, the pit gates will open at 3:30 p.m. Eastern, with the grandstand gates opening at 4:30 p.m. Eastern with racing set for 7:45 p.m. Eastern.

• On Saturday, May 30 at I-96 Speedway, the pit gates will open at 2 p.m. Eastern, with the grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. Eastern with hot laps set for 6 p.m. Eastern.


WHERE
• Attica Raceway Park is located Northeast of SR 4 & US 224 in Attica, Ohio.

• I-96 Speedway is located in Lake Odessa, Michigan.

• I-96 Speedway is a semi-banked half-mile. The track record of 15.093 seconds at 119.261 mph was established by Steve Kinser on July 25, 2008.
